ENGLISH PROFICIENCY REQUIREMENTS

All non-native English-speaking students, regardless of citizenship or visa status, must demonstrate English language proficiency at the time of application for admission.

 

Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)


The TOEFL score required for admission to any program at the ¼«ÀÖ½ûµØ is 79 or higher on the Internet-based test or 550 or higher on the paper-based test. The ¼«ÀÖ½ûµØ's reporting code is 5810. More information is available at .

 

International English Language Testing System (IELTS)


An overall score of 6.0 or higher is required; an overall score of 6.5 is required for admission to the LL.M. program in the School of Law. An institutional reporting code is not required. More information is available at .

 

Duolingo


A Duolingo score of 100 is accepted for undergraduate and graduate programs. An institutional reporting code is not required. More information is available at .

 

The English language test score may be waived* if:

 

*If you qualify for a waiver, the English test score will be waived upon receipt of your official U.S. Transcript and/or International Transcript Evaluation.

 

The University reserves the right to require additional English language instruction of any student. The ¼«ÀÖ½ûµØ does not offer English as a Second Language (ESL) courses.
