If you've forgotten your UBalt password:
A. Select Forgot my password on the UBalt log-in screen at .
OR
B. Visit . This will redirect you to the Microsoft password reset interface.
On the Password Reset page:
1. Enter your username formatted as netID@ubalt.edu in the Email or Username field.
2. Enter the CAPTCHA characters in the text box.
3. Click Next
Verify Password Reset:
You will be required to verify that you are resetting your password using an alternate contact method. If your account is registered with Microsoft Authenticator, or an alternate email or phone number is on file for your account, you will have the option to verify using one of these methods. Contact the OTS Call Center (410.837.6262) if you do not have an alternate method of contact registered or your alternate contact methods are not valid.
Verify by Email
To use email to verify your password reset, select Email my alternate email and click Email.
You will receive an email to your alternate email address from Microsoft with a verification code. Enter the verification code and click Next.
When the code is verified, proceed to the next step to enter a new password.
Verify by Text
To receive your verification code by text message, select Text my mobile phone. Enter your alternate phone number in the text box provided. The phone number you
enter must match the alternate phone number that is on file for your account. Select Text.
You will receive a verification code via text to your phone number. Enter the verification code and click Next.
When the code is verified, proceed to the next step to enter a new password.
Verify by Notification in Microsoft Authenticator
To verify by notification in Microsoft Authenticator, select Approve a notification on my authenticator app and click Send Notification.
A number will display.
A Microsoft Authenticator notification will prompt you on your mobile device to enter
a number to sign in. Enter the number and select Yes.
Once the code is verified, you will automatically proceed to the next step to enter a new password.
Verify by Code in Microsoft Authenticator
Open the Authenticator app on your mobile device and locate the one-time password code. It will update every 30 seconds.
Enter the code in the verification code text box and click next.
Once the code is verified, you will automatically proceed to the next step to enter a new password.
Enter New Password
Enter your new password and confirm your new password in the text box. .
Select Finish.
A confirmation will display when your password is reset.
If you remember your old password, to reset it:

If you receive an error when searching for your ID, double check what you've typed. If you cannot obtain your ID through this tool, contact the OTS Call Center.

If you're having problems creating a memorable password that meets UBalt's password requirements, here are some ideas to make it easier:
Ex: "Ask not what your country can do for you" can be changed to Anwyccdfy. From there you can add a number at the end Anwyccdfy61 or change the "f" to the number 4: Anwyccd4y.
A strong, secure password does not need to be gibberish. A password is good only if you can remember it.
