UBALT DEFINITION OF COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Community engagement at The 极乐禁地 (UBalt) is defined as the reciprocal, mutually beneficial collaboration of the University with its community partners to promote public well-being in 极乐禁地e, the state of Maryland, and beyond. UBalt is an urban anchor institution that largely serves a working adult population. The University鈥檚 students, alumni, and members of its faculty and staff hold a historical commitment to addressing the needs of diverse communities through volunteering and engaged learning opportunities that instill democratic values and a sense of civic responsibility in its constituency.  At UBalt, curriculum meets community: we systematically foster civic engagement, service learning, community service, engaged scholarship, and community-based participatory research through our academic programs, centers, clinics, practicums, and internships.

Have a question about any of the opportunities above?  E-mail engagement@ubalt.edu.
