There is a difference between Textbook Credit and Campus Store Credit.
There is a difference between the types of 鈥渃redit鈥 available at the Student Portal. Textbook/bookstore credit is used only online at the BNC Virtual textbook purchase site to buy textbooks. Campus Store Credit is also available through the student portal but is spent only at the online or in the Student Center for course packets, school supplies, computers, and other items. Both are available about 24 business hours after you apply. Check here for questions.
The Student Portal showed an error message for Textbook or Campus Store Credit.
If the Student Portal gives an error message when you attempt to apply for textbook/bookstore credit and or Campus Store Credit, email bookcredits@ubalt.edu for assistance.

You can pay for textbooks, and shipping to home or work using financial aid by first applying for on the student portal. The credit will be available in about 24 business hours. When the credit is available, click the blue button 鈥淯se It Here鈥 on the top of the textbook ordering page.

Easy steps to find your books at BNC Virtual's web site.
1) Select the first left-hand menu item at which is 鈥淥rder Textbooks鈥.
2) Then, on the 鈥淕etting Started鈥 page shown below, enter your course numbers and sections in the box on the right side, and click the course name to select it. (Click the X to remove the course.)
3) Once your courses are displayed on the screen, click the blue arrow at the bottom right to see your textbooks. It鈥檚 easier to select all courses, then 鈥淰iew Your Materials鈥.
4) Select your books among the options, choosing to ship, and check out. The link to pay with textbook/bookstore credit is a blue button 鈥淯se It Here鈥 at the top of the page.
When you find your classes, these are the textbook status messages you may see:
The title and picture of the assigned textbook, and the textbook format options available. The system will not allow duplicate titles to be purchased.
Explanations of textbook messages on the BNC Virtual website:
鈥淣o textbook required鈥 indicates the professor has not assigned a textbook. Your professor and or the course syllabus will indicate what materials may be needed.
鈥淭extbook to be announced鈥 This may mean there are other materials the professor will announce in class or there has been a delay in the ordering process.
鈥淭emporarily out of stock鈥 indicates the vendor has no books in stock. Place an order; the vendor will then buy more books from the publisher.
鈥淢aterials available at a later time鈥 indicates the textbook is on order. Check back shortly.
Materials available in the 鈥淐ampus Store鈥 or 鈥淪chool Store鈥 indicates the materials are in course packet form. Course packets are for sale in the on the first floor of the Student Center.
