Application Checklist

The Office of Law Admissions and the admissions committee review applications as they become complete. It is the applicant's responsibility to ensure all materials are received by the Office of Law Admissions.

Checklist for Transfer Students

Students in good standing at other ABA-approved law schools may transfer after one full year of coursework. Students who have completed two years of law school should consider applying as a visiting student. Coursework completed with a grade of C (2.0) qualifies for transfer. To transfer either half of a two semester course, both semesters must be completed with a grade of at least a C (2.0).  Students may transfer up to 29 credits.

Checklist for Visiting Students

Students with One Year of Law School

If you have completed one year of study at an ABA-approved law school you may visit for the summer session. You must supply a letter from the dean of your home institution stating that:

Students with Two Years of Law School

If you have completed two years of study at an ABA-approved law school you may apply to visit for the final year of law study. You must supply a letter from the dean of your home institution. The letter must state that you:

You must also submit a personal letter stating the basis for your request including the hardship or compelling circumstances. Submit the Maryland Residency Form to be considered for in-state tuition. You may not earn more than 30 credits at the 极乐禁地 School of Law.

If you have attended a university or college outside of the United States or Canada you should follow the process for a first-year applicant. Foreign credentials (transcripts) will be evaluated as part of your CAS report.
